The River Terrace Masterplan aims to create a vital new waterfront for Melbourne by extending the globally acclaimed Federation Square civic design right down to the Yarra River’s edge.

Rush Wright Associates worked closely with Cox Architects and the client throughout an intensive design investigation and business case series of design phases, culminating in approved business case for an approximately $90M project. Our work included levels studies, river access works, urban design, city links and a ‘botanical’ planting design based on showcasing the best of Australian flora.

RWA 3D modelled many options for the river front and worked with the architects to assess landmarking, building heights and uses, development mix and other key urban design issues.
